Weight Progress

I have been tracking my weight since I started Weight Watchers on June 30, 2005, as you can see below. Actually, I use Excel to calculate my progress stats and chart. I don’t know why I didn’t think of this earlier but I just realized I could share the template with you in case you were looking for a way to track. You will need Excel to open the file. Give it a try!

Thanks for the inspiration and for sharing all your resources! Your record of what you ate each day is so great - it gives me ideas of what to eat and what combinations are available! I always leave your site feeling hopeful! Thanks a million!

Wow! you are inspriration to me. How tall are you? and are you going to try to lose more? I am 5′4″ tall and I want to be 135.

    Roni,

Since you are a lifetime member, why do you weigh in every week? Is it to keep you on track?

Wow, it is great that you can keep on track week after week. Thanks again for sharing daily with us.

    Roni,

When you started losing weight, what weight were you when people started to notice?

  7. on 05 Feb 2007 at 10:12 amKarlene

    Good Morning

I noticed that “Tonia” mentioned sharing the excel template to track weight loss. Would it be possible for you to send the template to me also? I went to my meeting Saturday, and lost another 2 pounds which brings me to a grand total of -8.6 pounds in 3 weeks.

I shared your website with the other WW members at the meeting. I just cant tell you how much I love reading your daily messages.

    Thanks for the support!!!!

Karlene - It’s right at the top of the page, just right click and choose “save link as”.

Do you find it is easier and faster to be on the core program or flex.

  10. on 05 Mar 2007 at 9:24 pmRoni

@Kathy - I found the most success with a mixture of both. I like the portion control help Flex gives and the healthy food options CORE has. So I try to eat mostly CORE foods while counting points. That worked the best for me!

    Roni,

I just had my first gain (OP 15 weeks) and I came right to your page to see if you have been through them too, and it made me feel a LOT better to see that it happens to all of us.

Just a note to let you know you helped me today.

    Elizabeth :)

Hi Roni, thanks for putting up the template. But now I'm stuck as to how to put this up in blogger! If you could help me out I'd really appreciate it. It's so nice to see progress (and you can adjust the scale to make it look super amazing!) Thanks!

Randi - DO you mean the chart? I think it's easier then you realize. I took what's called a screen shot. It's the ability to take a picture of what's on your screen. Here's a simple write up... http://www.betterphoto.com/article.asp?id=147

So basically the chart is a picture of the chart from Excel. Does that make sense?

Roni, Thanks so much for sharing your template. I have a question about the dates and weeks and how they relate to the chart... if I don't weigh in one week, do I leave a row blank or is the chart based on date rather than row number/week? For example, if I didn't weigh in on week 5, do I put my week 6 weight in row 5 or skip row five and put week 6 weight in row six?

Thanks so much for your inspiration. I had the same starting weight as you, and I have the same goal weight. I'm down 25 lbs so far, and your site has helped keep me motivated.

I really appreciate how candid you are about your surgery. Though I'm a few inches shorter than you, I share your shape and I struggle with abdominal fat disproportionate to the rest of my body. Right now, I'm trying UltraShape, which is a non-surgical ultrasound procedure that breaks down fat in localized areas. It is new in the USA, but it is well established in Europe and South America and Asia. It's non-invasive and doesn't have the risks surgery does.

Though the results are not as significant as with liposuction or tummy tuck, I've had amazing improvements in contouring. Though I still have a chubby belly, it's a lot flatter than it used to be. And it doesn't sag at all. I am putting a lot of hope in the results. I am terribly afraid of needing a tummy tuck... I really don't want the scars.

Anyway, your readers might be interested in knowing about it. www.ultrashape.com. There are some before-after pictures up on the site that show results for one or two treatments on people who need just a little contouring help. I have had 5 so far and am planning 2 more.

Thanks so much again.

@Rachel Z - Thanks for the info! I never heard of that before.

As for the chart, I skip the week. Just leave it blank. You'll see some holes in my chart were I did so. The the chart is really weeks not dates for me.

I hope that helps!

Hey there, how do you change the number of weeks you want on your chart. I'm stuck!

Thanks!

Anonymous -

That's an easy on!

Double click on the chart (somewhere on a white area like towards the top so you don't edit anything else)

You will then see a blue outline in the weight column (where you have been entering you weight).

Simple click on one of the tiny blue squares on the bottom, hold and drag it to outline more rows.

Hope that helps!

Hi Roni-hope you don't mind but I need some advice. I am working out on my lunch hour and try to do it 4 times per week. I go for 30 mins and it is a fairly hard workout on the bike or a run on the treadmill. I am in my fourth week of my program and my weight loss is at 7 lbs as of Saturday. I have about 60 lbs to lose.

I think I short changed myself on food yesterday as we had a birthday party for my son so estimated on how many points I had for lunch. Today, I was hungry all day and feel crappy tonight...hungry and very irritable. I am not sure what to do...(my period is no where in site)

I thought that I would go to the gym three times per week and then lift weights at home on the days I don't go to the gym. (time constraints don't allow me to do both) just so that I don't get too hungry and too tired...I am so confused. I give myself a max of 4 activity points per 30 mins of cardio and afraid to give myself more...I am afraid to eat more...I am so afraid of not doing this right. It just feels wrong to eat more when I am trying to eat less...am I making any sense? Can you help and/or give me your opinion on my thoughts, etc. I just feel lost...Thanks, Tanya

Thanks,

Roni,

Thank you so much for your honest WI post's. I am sure when you do have a gain, it is difficult to post but I appreciate it. After doing WW for a long while, I just had my first *big* gain of 3.2lbs. I have gained before, but when I did they were always less than 1lb. This gain came as a huge shock to me, and after doing some soul searching, and journal researching, I still cannot come up with why. But reading your WI's has helped me, just by helping me accept it. I am sure for each of your gains, you didn't know exactly WHY it happened, it just did. And you had to move on, just like I have to.

Thank you very much for all your posts, and recipes and WI's!

*Wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday Wishes*

Hi Roni! What a great inspiration you are!!! I'll be checking your page daily, that's for sure (and your pictures look so yummy! that is a great idea to put the pictures of your recipes!!!)
I want to thank you also for the template. I wish I had that when I first lost weight in 2005. It's way easier that way (I have it writing down somewhere...).
Thanks again! :) Mélanie
