Viva Las Vegas!

VegasTomorrow is the big trip! I fly out with my two closest friends in world. I am so ready to relax with the girls. I hope you don’t take this personally but no more posts, updates or rebuilding efforts for the next 5 days. I need a BREAK! ;~) I’ve bee working non-stop on rebuilding. I haven’t even packed yet! It’s my own fault, I’m a bit obsessed but hey, we all need hobby right?

I don’t have a menu tonight. I didn’t do particularly bad or good, I just didn’t journal. Well… I should confess my little Triscuit incident. I grabbed the box while working on the site and mindlessly munched about half the box. At least it wasn’t the Doritos my husband bought yesterday! That would have been DISASTEROUS!

So as you can see I got my updates back up. It was the easiest to do in the short time frame I had. My plan is to rebuild the majority of recipes (at least the popular ones) and repost my journal from the first years (when I lost the weight) and the more popular entries from the past year.

My inbox is overflowing! Over 100 message from the last 2 days. I have read them all but haven’t replied to any. I will catch up when I get back and I promise I will start posting daily menus again on Sunday. I’m sure I will want to after my vacation!

Thanks again for the support. One more thing, someone asked if I would rebuild the blog community. I have to admit I’m a bit hesitant, I’m not sure I’m ready to handle the responsibility of hosting all your hard work again. I will definitely recreate the message boards and I plan to get them up and running by the end of next week. I know some of you have started blogs else where and I think that's GREAT! It's all about staying accountable. With the message boards at least you can always put your address into your profile. I can also create a user page that will link to everyone’s blogs no matter where you decide to create them. How does that sound? This way it will be a little less responsibility for me and we can still all stay in touch and support each other.

I’d love to here your feedback and again, I can’t thank you enough.

Have a wonderful time in Vegas!
Glad to see that you are slowly getting the site back up and running! I hope that you can recover everything else soon.

For me personally I would love to have a Weight Watchen blog again. It has more of a community feel than blogger, even though a lot of us are on here now as a back up. I do understand where you are coming from though so what ever is best for you.

Either way, have a blast in Vegas and relax!

I just wanted to thank you for putting the effort back into your site. I only saw it once before it was lost but it was the thing that really helped me make up my mind for the last time and give weight watchers one final push to the end of this battle with my body. It worked for me, I just didn't stick with it. And you did and look at you now. So thank you.
Vegas is the best place on earth for having good times, enjoy every bit of it. I can't wait however till you get back and I can learn more and get my dose of willpower for the day. :)
Don't forget to drink your water!

Thanks Again

Roni!

Things happen! I never blogged anywhere but here and love the sense of community that I got from doing so. I am creating another blog because now it doesn't feel right not writing (if ya know what I mean). I like the link idea but like swizzle said, whatever is best for you!

We love ya girl! You're the best.
Hope you have a fantabulous time in Vegas. And remember.. what happens in Vegas....

What I liked about your site was that you could see who had updated their blog at the blink of an eye. Also, you could see who was just starting out in our community. Having us all together on on site gave us the comfort of a very supportive community. We will all understand if you don't get the blog portion of your site up and going again...talk about stress when the site went down.

Have fun in Vegas...and remember "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!!"

Roni--

I had a short blog before weight watchen blogs and I never kept it up b/c I knew no one read it. I know I write for ME, but to know someone else is expecting me to update and say how things are going, THAT keeps me accountable. I re-committed to WW on March 19...you released the blog community on March 22, so I felt--FOR ME--that it was a sign, a push maybe, and I have been following WW closely since then. We will completely understand if you don't want to take that on again. I am with superjayman on one thing though..I liked seeing who had most recently updated their blog and you could welcome the newcomers and you always left comments on everyone's blog. That will be what I miss the most.

Have fun in Vegas. What happens in Vegas....well you know!!

I was DEVISTATED to see your note the other day about the site...My first instinct was to grab some "snacks" and go to town. I can only imagine what you felt like doing! I was VERY elated to see the photos at the top and a lovely note from you about your trip this morning...whew! For such a habitual creature I was glad to get part of my daily ritual of Roni back. Have a great time in Vegas...remember what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...but feel free to tell us all about it...we won't tell!

Roni,
I have to agree with the other ladies. I LOVED the fact that we could see who updated last, who was new and who was the most current blogs on the block. I LOVED the community for the way you had designed it as well, but I completely understand your apprehention. It is a huge responsibility and alot of work, but I can't began to tell you in words what it ment to me personally. If you decide not to redo it, we will understand and keep in contact. I moved my blog to blogspot as well and will continue to read yours and should you ever to the redo..I will be back in a FLASH!! Have a great vacation...we love ya. My new site is: http://coletted.blogspot.com/
