Black Bean and Turkey Chili
I finally updated this recipe if you would like more detail click here.
This was my first ever recipe posted online. I pulled it out of my archives because I lost the updated version in the big crash. When I make it again I will edit it to give more details. In the meantime I hope this helps those that were requesting it.
- 93% Lean Ground Turkey 20 oz
- Onion
- Garlic
- Can of Diced Tomatoes
- Small Can of Corn
- Small Can of Tomato Paste
- 1 Tbs Unsweetened Cocoa
- Splash of Worcestershire Sauce
- Chili Powder
- Cumin
- Parsley
- Crushed Red Pepper
- Black Beans 1 can
- Kidney Beans 1 can
In a large saucepan on med high heat, fry the turkey, garlic and onion until the turkey is gray. Add the tomatoes and paste. Keep mixing and add in the rest of the ingredients. Cover and simmer on low at least 1/2 hour, the longer the better.
Makes 6 serving approximately 5 points a serving. (I'll do the nutritional info when I remake)
If you can afford more points serve over rice or whole wheat pasta!
