Note to self...

Next time you have a nice lunch planned and your husband asks if you want to go out for Japanese. Don’t say yes. You know it’s going to take him forever to get ready and you are going to get to too hungry and then want everything on the menu.

It threw off my whole day!!

That is one of my hardest times, when I wait too long and get TOO hungry!

I have just seen your this page. It's awesome. I have started my weight loss program at the beginning of 2007. I managed to loose about 15 lbs. I still need to go about 25 lbs more to reach my goal. This may be the most stupid question you must have ever had, but that's the problem that is kiiling me, it's HUNGER !!!! I need to stay around 1200 Cal and I can loose about 1 lb a week, but with that calorie range, I am hungry and starving all the time. That's the reason my weight loss has been so slow. Any idea of how to deal with it.
Thanks much.
p.s. Thanks much for your posting food journals. That's very thoughful of you.

OR....you could say yes, have an apple to tide you over while hubby gets ready, and eat light at the restaurant! I'd hate for you to say no to having a nice lunch out with "The Husband."

Roni that so sounds like me LOL. MY darling wife loves eating out and for the most part we do at least twice a week. So I have really built this into my life. I did get lucky last night as the little boy was tired and did not want to eat out which drove mommy off the wall. We got to stay in for the night but I am not counting on that to happen today.

HI EVERYONE,
I HAVE BEEN DRINKING THOSE SPECIAL K PROTIEN WATERS AND THEY REALLY HELP KEEP YOU FULL. I DRINK ONE IN THE MORNING AFTER OR DURING MY WORKOUT AND THEN ONE AT NIGHT A COUPLE HOURS AFTER DINNER TO FEND OFF THE NIGHTIME MUNCHIES. I HAVE FOUND THEM VERY HELPFUL. GIVE THEM A TRY.

I love japanese food but I totally avoid the bowls. I love miso soup and it's only like 1 point for a cup. You would like the sunomo too I think. It's a cucumber salad that has some ginger and rice wine vinegar in it. Also low in points. And edamame is great. and it takes you a while to open those pods in between bites!

I agree that an apple (or carrots or cheese stick or anything!) would have been good to eat while you waited for hubby.

Mmmmmm Japanese food! Isn't it heavenly? You can eat so much and still have a (relatively) points-friendly meal.

But yeah, the "wait too long to eat" thang messes with my will-power, too.

I'm new to your blog, BTW, and I'm really enjoying reading it. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us.

Thanks guys, and I'm sorry it takes me so long to respond to comments.

WorriedSoul - If you are that hungry you need to eat! Trying bulking up your food with LOTS of veggies. I always feel better when I eat more for the same number of calories.
