Note to Self...

You still need some level of accountability on the weekends.  They just can’t be a stream of mindless nibbles.

Yes, you are maintaining nicely but if you want to loose those 5 pesky pounds you gained this winter you are going to have to get a bite more serious.

That being said, good job on the step class yesterday and the weight training session today. And yes, you did actually bench more then that young man in the weight room!

Feeling strong feels great!

Oh! And I made this awesome guilt free Mexican dinner idea too!

Good job on the weights!
Doing well and maintaining is tough. It can mess with your mind! I'm working on 10 pounds.. but when I do well with exercise, eat well (and nibble) and still maintain, I find it difficult to punch it up a notch.
So, a deal: we both up the accountability on weekends? :)

Congratulations on the weights! That's one area I still need to work on. It's so much harder (for me) to be accountable on the weekends just because I don't have a regular routine like I do M-F. I still do good, but really have to focus on my water intake during those days.

Ahhhh those darn weekends...they are the hardest for me too!

Way to go on the step class and weights!! I definately need to be working out more.

And the mexican dish...can't wait to make it. It looks delicious and I love mexican food. :)

You know what is great about this post? You're talking to yourself and saying just as many positive things as criticisms. And even the criticisms are said in a nice tone.

We should all learn to be so kind to ourselves - much better than beating ourselves up. Thanks for being a positive role model.

Roni: Way to stay focused with the weights. You are doing great. As far as the little indiscretions on the weekends. I would like to say it doesn't happen to me but sadly I would be lying. Weekends are tough all the way around. I have to really talk to myself sometimes about where I want to be going with my weight and is it worth it to blow it each weekend so I can work harder during the week. That little talk actually worked this weekend. Amazing, huh?

Roni, I love the "Freudian slip" at the end of the second paragraph, and I'm making it my motto this week... I'm going to have to get "a bite more serious." Every bite counts! Way to go with the positive self-talk... thanks for your blog.

I kind of posted my inner thoughts while working out too today...too funny! Weekends are always hard too. I have to choose between getting to sleep in a little more on Saturday, my only day off, or getting up to run. That's never an easy choice!

Wow! you are doing just fine. I do envy that you actually enjoy cooking. I'm stuck,in a rut, hoping to get myself out soon. You are truly an insperation to me.
Keep up the good work.

Roni,

I think weekends are hard for anybody..but remember you are making smart choices overall the rest of the week..you only live once...

Keep on going with those weights..thats something I still need to work on..

Also I peeked at the latest video post..your toddler is so precious..you really should have a cooking show with him...I'd totally watch it!! :)

Happy Monday!!

I love that you said "Get a bite more serious". Freudian slip? Or was that intentional?

I love you mindset though. It's true on Saturdays and Sundays, I always want to eat more than usual!
