It Could Have Been Worse…

That’s what I keep telling myself about this weekend. I had a lot of fun but I also ate quite a bit and right now I feel like CRAP!

I’m SO looking forward to getting back into a routine this week, hitting the gym hard, training for my 5k and wrapping up the semester.

Hope you all had a Happy Mother’s Day! I’m signing off early so I can start the week with a good night sleep (although it’s already after midnight!)

GOOD MORNING, FRIEND!

(I laugh that you were posting about 4.5 hours before I get up :))

I know you know this but a few thoughts:

it was MOTHERS DAY WEEKEND :)

I am a firm believer that our bodies thrive and grow (in a good way. in a muscle building/metabolism sparking way) when we throw them curve balls and shake up the routine—-EVEN WHEN THIS SHAKING IS IN THE FORM OF FOODS WE RARELY CONSUME (aka Poptarts & cake for the MizFit).

I command thee to harness all the “crap” you ate over the weekend as ENERGY you can use to hoist even heavier weights this week and run a smidge FASTER than you usually do—not in the name of burning it off but in the name of HUH, THE JUNK WOKE MY BODY UP AND IM SHOCKINGLY FILLED WITH VIM & VIGOR :)

lastly, and I KNOW you live this, there is something nice/fun/alluring about routine when youve been out of it for a few days.

climbing back on the horse seems almost EXCITING and energizing.

fearing she’s rambled too long (& off to start the day)

ahh, I think there are quite a few of us that had bad days or weekends eating wise. it’s amazing to me how crappy I can feel after eating all the stuff I used to eat on a regular basis now. I still feel like I have a food hangover today. Ugh!

I’m so with you! For the last three weeks I’ve been traveling or having guests and therefore eating out, eating too big of portions and slacking on the workouts. Time to get back in the game!

I went to Dodger’s Stadium for Mother’s day. i hd my daughter on one side of me eating cotton candy (and she’s skiiny a a rail) and my son on the other side eating pizza. How did I handle it? i ate my nutrifit lunch before we went so we wouldn;t be too hungry and then a bought myself a popcorn which I shared with the kids so I would have something to munch on. It got me through the day a winner, more than i can say for the dodgers who went down 8 to 5. Speaking of numbers, my goal is to lose 95 pounds by the time the Broadway musical of my show 9 to 5, opens in L.A. in September. I’m at over sixty five pounds already and if you’d like to keep track of how I’m doing, along with news about the show (Dolly Parton wrote the songs) check out my blog 95 by 9 to 5 on Myspace!
